Three totally irrelevant questions answered by Jessica Hische

The ever busy queen of hand-drawn typography was kind enough to shoot us answers to three sincerely unimportant questions back in December of 2009. Here are the results.

What's the best piece of inspiration you've come across in the last week?

I think because I've been trying to make products lately, the most inspiring site of this week is svpply.com, which is like a ffffound.com but for items you can purchase. I spend way too much time on this site searching through images of posters, housewares, and other things by contemporary artists and companies.

Do you keep a sketchbook?

I do keep a sketchbook, but its mostly for commercial jobs. With illustration I always have to show sketches before working on a final, so my sketchbook is mostly a compendium of sketches for illustration jobs and list upon list of word association brain-storming. I've found that if I keep a book instead of sketching on loose-leaf I spend more time on sketching and enjoy it more.

Favorite (music) album of 2009?

My favorite album of this year is probably from debut full length from the band "Girls", though I actually don't listen to music that much when I work, I usually watch internet tv (so much Law and Order: SVU!).
